Man hospitalized in early morning shooting along Girard Ave. in West Philly
A man has been hospitalized, officials said, after being shot in an incident that happened in West Philly early Wednesday.
Police said that officers responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of North 55th Street and West Girard Avenue at about 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Here, officials said, officers encountered a man who was suffering from several gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital but, as of 9 a.m., police had not provided information on the severity of his injuries.
An investigation is underway, as police said, no motive has yet been established and no arrests were immediately made.
