7 hurt as 5 vehicles crash along I-76 westbound in South Philly, officials say
An investigation is underway, officials said, after a crash that injured seven people shut down the westbound lanes of I-76 in South Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
Dur to the crash, which officials said involved five vehicles, the roadway was shut down from Passyunk Avenue to Greys Ferry Avenue late Tuesday.
The roadway reopened at around 11:35 p.m.
Contacted for details, police did not immediately detail the severity of the injuries sustained in this crash nor did they provide further information on what may have caused the incident to occur.
SkyForce10 was over the scene to find at least three cars involved in the crash, but no other details were immediately available.
An investigation, officials said, was ongoing.
