Video shows alleged high-speed DUI Cybertruck crash that killed woman in Miami-Dade

New dashcam video shows an alleged high-speed DUI crash in southwest Miami-Dade that left a woman dead just days before Christmas and has a Cybertruck driver facing serious charges.

The video obtained by NBC6 on Tuesday shows the Dec. 14, 2025 crash that killed Dayana Abreu Perez.

The driver of the Cybertruck, 21-year-old Dayron Ramirez-Mesa, later surrendered to face charges including DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide in a reckless manner, reckless driving with damage to property or person, and DUI with damage to property or person, an arrest report said.

According to the report, Ramirez-Mesa was driving a 2025 Tesla Cybertruck at a high rate of speed in the area of Southwest 56th Street and Southwest 122nd Avenue when he ran a red light and struck two vehicles that had a green light and were making a left turn at the intersection.

Perez, who was in one of the other vehicles, was rushed to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Deputies who responded to the scene immediately suspected Ramirez-Mesa of DUI due to a smell of alcohol and his bloodshot watery eyes, the report said.

Three blood samples were collected from Ramirez-Mesa that came back at .180, .103 and .081, all above Florida’s legal limit of .08, the report said.

Investigators determined Ramirez-Mesa was going at least twice the posted speed limit of 40 mph at the time of the crash and the Cybertruck’s data recorder showed that three seconds before impact he was going 97 mph, the report said.
