Tyreek Hill in court to face suit from influencer who claims NFL star broke her leg
Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was in a Broward County courtroom on Wednesday as he faces a lawsuit from a social media influencer who claims the NFL superstar intentionally broke her leg three years ago.
The suit was filed by Sophie Hall, an influencer and model with more than 2.3 million followers on Instagram.
Hall claimed she met Hill after she’d purchased a ticket for her son to attend his football camp in June of 2023.

After the camp, Hill invited Hall to come back to his house in Southwest Ranches, and later bought flight and travel arrangements for Hall to visit, and she arrived about 11 days after the camp, the suit said.
The suit claims Hill had been knocked backwards by Hall during a football lesson and he “became enraged, and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg, requiring surgery with orthopedic reconstruction and hardware implantation.”
When Hall visited a doctor after her return home, it was discovered she had a right leg fracture requiring surgery with metal implants, the suit said.
Hall is suing Hill for compensatory and punitive damages, claiming she still suffers pain in her legs to this day.

Jury selection got underway Wednesday as Judge David Haimes briefly explained Hill’s defense.
“Hill denies that he caused her injury. He also contends that Hall was herself negligent, and voluntarily consented to activity and assumed risks associated with participating in the football drills,” Haimes said.
Hill, 32, was released by the Dolphins back in February after four years in Miami and remains a free agent.
Opening statements in the civil trial were expected to take place Thursday, and the trial was estimated to last two weeks.
