Resurfacing work planned for next week on 9 state highways across Philly region
Crews with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be working on resurfacing nine state highways across the Philadelphia region next week.
The resurfacing operations will take place in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, where crews will work to repair and resurface more than 240 miles of state highways.
Here’s a county-by-county list of the planned work:
Bucks County
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bath Road/Bristol Oxford Valley Road between U.S. 13 and Business U.S. 1 Lincoln Highway in Bristol and Middletown townships for paving.
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Comly Avenue/Highland Avenue between Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue) and U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) in Langhorne Manor Borough and Middletown Township for paving.
Chester County
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Phoenixville Pike between King Road and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Montgomery County
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Horsham Township for paving.
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 15, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road) between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and County Line Road in Montgomery Township for milling and utility adjustments.
- Tuesday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from northbound Interstate 476 to Plymouth Road in Plymouth Township for milling and paving.
Philadelphia County
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. a lane closure will be in place on sections of Rhawn Street between Oxford Avenue and State Road for prep work.
- Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 8, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Rhawn Street between Oxford Avenue and State Road for paving.
- Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Holme Avenue between Roosevelt Boulevard and Academy Road for prep work and milling.
- Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 8, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Robbins Street between Frankford Avenue and State Road for milling.
- Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place on Robbins Street between Frankford Avenue and State Road for prep work.
Drivers should allow extra time when traveling through the work areas due to traffic delays and backups.
