NHL announces date for Game 1 of Flyers vs. Hurricanes playoff series
The Flyers’ playoff run will resume Saturday when the team opens its best-of-seven second-round series against the Hurricanes.
Game 1 is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The full series schedule will be announced at a later time.
The first two games will be held at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, before the series shifts to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.
The Flyers got past the Penguins in the first round. They won the series in six games. Rick Tocchet’s club finished the regular season with 98 points at 43-27-12.
The Hurricanes swept the Senators in the first round. They’re the top seed in the Eastern Conference after going 53-22-7 in the regular season for 113 points.
Every matchup between the Flyers and Carolina in the regular season was decided after regulation. The Flyers lost three of the four games.
