Police search for 19-year-old accused of firing gun inside Bensalem restaurant
Police are searching for a 19-year-old man accused of firing a gun inside a Bensalem restaurant Monday, authorities said.
Through their investigation, Bensalem detectives identified Landon McMahon of Yardley, Pennsylvania, as the suspect of firing a gunshot inside the bathroom of Asad’s Hot Chicken, located on Knights Road in Bensalem Township, on April 27, 2026.
Officials said when they arrived at the restaurant, they found a hole in the wall and bullet fragments on the floor.
As part of the investigation, detectives reviewed CCTV footage from inside the restaurant and used township intersection cameras and License Plate Reader (LPR) technology to identify McMahon as the suspect.
Police said McMahon drove away from the scene in a newer-model Infiniti sedan.
Bensalem Police obtained an arrest warrant for McMahon, charging him with recklessly endangering another person, firearms not to be carried without a license and other charges.
According to officials, the Middletown Police Department tried to conduct a traffic stop on McMahon while he was driving an Infinity sedan. But he fled from police.
Police said McMahon should be considered “armed and dangerous,” and urged the public not to approach him and to contact police immediately.
Anyone with information regarding McMahon’s whereabouts is urged to contact Bensalem Police at (215) 633-3719.
