WATCH LIVE: Palm Beach commissioners to vote on renaming airport after Trump
Palm Beach County commissioners are expected to hold their first public vote Tuesday on renaming the Palm Beach International Airport after President Donald Trump.
The expected vote comes after county officials reached a trademark deal with the president’s companies.
The county is allowed to use the president’s name and image to promote the airport, according to the agreement. It also proposed a new logo for the airport which features the image of an eagle.
In March, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill that renames the airport after President Trump.
The House voted 81-30 along party lines in support of the bill. The Senate vote was 25-11, also along party lines.
