Stretch of Rt. 309 closed in Hatfield Twp. due to hazmat situation
A stretch of Route 309 in Hatfield Township, Pennsylvania, is closed due to an incident involving hazardous materials.
Northbound and southbound lanes were shut down on Route 309 between Line Lexington Road and Trewigtown Road, Hatfield Police announced on Friday, April 24.
Police said the closure is due to a hazmat incident but did not reveal additional details. North Penn Now reported that the incident involved a tractor-trailer that began leaking a chemical substance.
Footage from SkyForce10 showed a truck next to a substance that had spilled on the highway.
