Caught on Camera: Suspects sought in South Philly shooting
Law enforcement officials have released surveillance footage in the hopes of tracking down two gunmen involved in a South Philly shooting from April 1, 2026.
Police posted the footage on social media on Friday morning.
According to police, the incident captured on the surveillance video happened at about 12:25 a.m. on April 1, 2026, when two individuals were involved in a shooting that happened on the 2600 block of 9th Street in South Philadelphia.
In footage from moments before that shooting, the two suspects could be seen walking eastbound on Oregon Avenue before turning onto the 2600 block of 9th Street where the shooting occurred.
Then, moments later, both individuals could be seen running back along Oregon Avenue while firing several times back down the sidewalk toward 9th Street.
Later that morning, officials said, the pair were caught on camera “lurking” near the SEPTA station at Broad Street and Oregon Avenue.
Police did not report any injuries in this incident.
