Suspect sought after woman stabbed multiple times in Philadelphia, police say
Police are searching for a woman after they said she stabbed another woman multiple times during a physical altercation in Philadelphia overnight.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Monday, April 20, 2026 around 2 a.m., first responders were called to the 6500 block of North Beechwood Street after reports of a stabbing.
Police said it was found that a 42-year-old woman had a verbal altercation with another woman that escalated into a physical confrontation.
As a result, the 42-year-old woman sustained multiple stab wounds to her arms and one to her chest, according to police. She was taken to a nearby hospital by fire crews and placed in stable condition.
Police said the other woman, fled before police arrived. She was last seen wearing a jean jacket.
