Airbnb to provide FIFA World Cup fans with free SEPTA rides after matches
FIFA World Cup fans can ride SEPTA’s Broad Street Line for free after matches, thanks to Airbnb.
The online marketplace for short-and-long-term homestays has joined forces with Philadelphia Soccer 2026 to provide complimentary rides home on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line after all six World Cup matches in Philadelphia at the Lincoln Financial Field.
Organizers said the free-ride-home program is designed to expand access to safe, reliable transportation and help ensure all fans can fully participate in the World Cup experience.
The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, with the City of Brotherly Love’s matchups being held between June 14 and July 4, 2026. Services for fans after all the matches are scheduled as followers:
• Sunday, June 14 at 7:00 PM ET (Côte d’Ivoire vs Ecuador)
• Friday, June 19 at 8:30 PM ET (Brazil vs Haiti)
• Monday, June 22 at 5:00 PM ET (France vs Iraq)
• Thursday, June 25 at 4:00 PM ET (Côte d’Ivoire vs Curacao)

“At Airbnb, we believe the world’s most extraordinary moments are meant to be shared. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and the City of Philadelphia to make the World Cup more affordable and accessible for fans and residents across the city,” said Jay Carney, Global Head of Policy and Communications for Airbnb. “We’re grateful to the Host Committee for leading this partnership and demonstrating how public-private partnerships can make global events more inclusive and deliver real benefits for local communities.”
Organizers said SEPTA will operate regular service, along with Sports Express trains, every 10 minutes or less.
Complimentary rides home from NRG Station for matches will begin at halftime and continue for two hours following the end of the match.
Regular fares will apply for all travel to the matches, according to organizers.
“Sports are big business here in Pennsylvania and a key part of what makes our Commonwealth a great place to live and visit,” said Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. “My Administration has invested millions of dollars to ensure SEPTA trains remain in good service as we embark on an epic year for sports in Philadelphia – and I’m glad Airbnb is stepping up to provide free rides for fans so they can get home safely and affordably. I invite everyone to come see for yourself why Pennsylvania is truly the Great American Getaway.”
“SEPTA is proud to partner with Airbnb and Philadelphia Soccer 2026 to provide free, convenient transit for fans leaving FIFA World Cup™ matches in Philadelphia,” said Scott A. Sauer, General Manager of SEPTA. “The B Line is the best way to get to and from the Sports Complex, and their generous support will help us deliver a safe, reliable, and efficient trip home for visitors and residents alike.”
