Shooting leaves 30-year-old woman injured in Philadelphia, police say

An investigation is underway after police said a woman was shot overnight in Philadelphia.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Sunday, April 19, 2026, a 30-year-old woman was brought to a local hospital after being shot on the 2800 block of West Huntingdon Street.

Police said the woman has sustained a gunshot wound to her right hip and buttocks area. She is currently listed in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting and any potential suspects are unknown at this time, police said. No crime scene has been found.
