Roots Picnic is heading to London for the first time ever

One of the most popular festivals held in the City of Brotherly Love is heading across the pond to London, England.

The Roots Picnic, the annual music festival hosted by the legendary hip-hop group The Roots, announced their expansion overseas with Roots Picnic London.

The London edition will be held at Crystal Palace Bowl on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Day one features performances by Nas and The Roots, Sasha Keable, Nia Smith and JPERIOD’s Live Mixtape, featuring Black Thought, Yasiin Bey and Benny The Butcher. 

Day two, performers include Robert Glasper, Questlove, Common Bilal, Gotts Street park and Olive Jones.

The announcement comes as Philadelphia gears up to host the 18th annual Roots Picnic this May at a new location, the Belmont Plateau.

Presale tickets for Roots Picnic London go on sale Monday, April 20, at 12 p.m. BST, with general sale beginning Tuesday, April 21, at 12 p.m. BST.
