Bodycam shows foot chase of dancer accused of attacking strip club manager with pole
New body camera footage shows officers chasing and arresting a dancer who was accused of attacking the manager of a North Miami Beach strip club with a pole after she’d been fired.
Princess Aaliyah Bell, 23, was arrested Monday on charges including aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting an officer without violence and giving a false name or identification, an arrest report said.
According to the report, North Miami Beach Police officers had responded to Taboo on Northwest 170th Street regarding a woman battering staff and causing a disturbance.
The manager of Taboo told officers Bell had been fired due to her bizarre behavior and tendency to fight with coworkers, but the manager had allowed her to come to the club to collect her belongings, the report said.
But when Bell arrived she started running around inside, throwing items, cursing and causing a disturbance, the manager said, according to the report.
Bell was escorted outside by security but returned with a 7-foot metal pole that she started waving at security before she threw it, hitting the manager in the leg, the report said.
When officers responded, staffers said Bell had fled and an officer spotted her walking near a gas station nearby, the report said.
The bodycam footage shows officers trying to speak with Bell before she takes off running.
The officers quickly caught up with her and took her into custody.
Bell, who the report said lives in Detroit, was taken to a hospital for a medical examination and later booked into jail.
At her appearance before a judge on Tuesday, it was learned Bell has an out-of-state fugitive warrant from Georgia related to a robbery, along with an in-state warrant.
The judge appointed her a public defender and set her bond at $13,500.
