A DoorDash driver kept a customer's order, police say. He now faces charges
A DoorDash driver in Pennsylvania was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after police said he picked up an order for delivery, but kept the food for himself.
According to the Lower Southampton Township Police Department, on April 20, 2026, a local restaurant called to report a DoorDash food order that was picked up by a “Dasher,” but was never delivered to their customer.
Following an investigation, police found that the 28-year-old driver, from Philadelphia, picked up the food and traveled back to his apartment without trying to make the delivery.
A criminal complaint was filed against the driver, police said.
NBC10 reached out to DoorDash for comment, and at the time of this publication, our team hadn’t heard back.
