Two men were injured in separate overnight shootings in Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Officials said the first shooting happened around 10 p.m. Friday in North Philadelphia and left a 20-year-old man injured. The second shooting, which happened at an unknown location, was reported at approximately 2:14 a.m. Saturday and left a 38-year-old injured.

North Philadelphia shooting

Around 10 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, officers responded to the 2100 block of North 18th Street after receiving reports of a shooting.

According to police, a 20-year-old man was shot and transported by a private vehicle to Temple University Hospital. He was listed in stable condition.

As of Saturday afternoon, investigators had not announced any arrests or a motive.

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Northwest Detective Division.

Early morning shooting at unknown location

Police are investigating a shooting that left a 38-year-old man injured on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

At approximately 2:14 a.m., officers responded to Frankford Hospital after receiving reports of a shooting victim that was looking for treatment. When they arrived, investigators found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left buttock.

As of Saturday afternoon, authorities were still working to determine where the shooting took place.
