SEPTA offering free rides on Broad Street Line for Sunday's race participants
SEPTA will be offering free rides on the Broad Street Line on Sunday for registered Broad Street Run participants.
According to SEPTA, every registered competitor can ride the B line for free to the race’s starting line at Broad Street and West Fisher Avenue, located between Olney Transit Center and Logan Station. The first train is scheduled to depart NRG Station at 4 a.m. — both express and local service will be operating.
Officials said the free rides for runners will be available before and after the race until noon.
To get a free ride, participants must display their 2026 official race bib with their competitor number to ride for free.
Early morning train service from Glenside and Jenkintown stations connects runners to the B line at Fern Rock Transit Center. Take the B line one stop to Olney Transit Center, where signs will direct participants to the starting line area.
Riders taking PATCO into Philly from new jersey can also take the Broad Street Line to get to the race. Riders must exit PATCO at 12th/13th and Locust Street Station, then take the escalator or stairs to the concourse level, exit the fare gates and follow signs to exit to street level. Then, head north on S. 13th Street toward St. James Street, then left onto Walnut Street. You will see SEPTA’s Walnut/Locust station on the corner of Broad & Walnut Streets.
