Wilmington man convicted of first-degree murder in 2023 shooting
A 50-year-old man was found guilty of murdering a man in 2023 in Wilmington, Delaware.
On April 17, a Superior Court jury found Andra Manuel guilty of multiple charges, including first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the shooting death of Quinton Turner.
The deadly shooting happened on Nov. 28, 2023.
According to the Delaware Department of Justice, Manuel shot and killed Turner at a home on the 200 block of West 20th Street in Wilmington, and he left the scene.
Further investigation led to Manuel’s arrest in Ownings Mills, Maryland on Jan. 8, 2024. He was then extradited to Delaware.
“Our DOJ trial team and the Wilmington Police Department deserve a tremendous amount of praise for ensuring that justice was carried out here,” said Attorney General Kathy Jennings. “I hope that this verdict brings some measure of peace and closure to the victim’s family.”
A sentencing date for Manuel has not been set.
