Video shows crowd running during fatal triple shooting at Taste of Miami Karnival

New surveillance video shows a crowd running from a fatal triple shooting during a festival in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood as police continue their investigation into the incident.

The shooting happened late Sunday near the main stage of the Taste of Miami Karnival in the area of Northeast 2nd Avenue and Northeast 62nd Street, Miami Police officials said.

Three victims, two men and a woman, were found shot, and they were rushed to the hospital. One of the men, identified as 23-year-old Kitchner Cyrille, did not survive, police said.

The new video shows people running as officers and ambulances respond to the shooting.

Witnesses said the event quickly turned to chaos, as one moment the crowd was celebrating and the next they were running for their lives in what was described as a stampede.

Miami Police Chief Manuel Morales said Monday that no one is in custody, but there is a person of interest.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted.

Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and are looking for anyone who was a victim, witnessed any part of the incident, have information, or captured video before, during, or after the shooting, to contact them at 305-603-6350.
