Person in custody after man shot during North Philly robbery, police say
Police have taken a person of interesting into custody after, officials said, a man was shot during a robbery that happened in a parking lot in North Philly late Saturday.
According to police, the incident happened at about 11:32 p.m. on Saturday when a man arrived at a Philadelphia hospital after having been shot in the left calf.
Officials said the man told officers he was shot during a robbery that happened that evening in a parking lot along the 4800 block of North Broad Street in North Philadelphia.
Investigating officers took a person of interest into custody, but officials said, no weapon was recovered.
At the scene, officials said, a single shell casing was recovered by investigators.
An investigation into this shooting, officials said, is still ongoing.
