One dead after shooting in Southwest Miami-Dade, authorities say
One man died Saturday after being injured in a shooting reported earlier in Southwest Miami-Dade, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) said.
County deputies responded to the area of Southwest 217th Street and Southwest 112th Avenue following a ShotSpotter alert.
When deputies arrived, they located a man “suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) to the upper extremities,” authorities said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
MDSO Homicide Bureau detectives responded and are investigating.
