Man shot and killed following argument in Point Breeze, police say
A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood on Wednesday night, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The shooting occurred at the intersection of 21st and Wharton streets at around 10:30 p.m., Small said.
Officers on patrol initially heard the gunshots and went to the scene, where they found the man bleeding on the sidewalk from from gunshot wounds to the leg and head, Small said.

The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the hospital at around 11 p.m., Small said.
Two spent shell casings were also found a “few inches” from the victim, Small said, which indicates that the shots were fired at close range.
The shooter is suspected of being someone the victim had an altercation with on Tuesday, but Small said investigators were hoping to get surveillance camera footage to help confirm this.
