Man fatally shot in West Englewood
A man was fatally shot Tuesday night in West Englewood, according to Chicago police.
The man, 47, was standing outside in the 1400 block of West 71st Street at 8:38 p.m. when an SUV approached and someone inside fired shots before driving eastbound on 71st Street, police said.
He was shot in the chest and abdomen, and was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center where he later died.
No one is in custody.
