Charges filed after man gets pushed off balcony and dies in Coatesville: DA
A man has been charged after he pushed another man off of a balcony at an apartment building in Coatesville, causing him to fall to his death, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office said on Monday.
The incident occurred at around 9:51 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway, prosecutors said.
When officers arrived, they found Moises Galarza-Bermudez lying on the sidewalk with head trauma and no pulse. According to prosecutors, Galarza-Bermudez was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators later determined that 53-year-old Neftali Feliciano-Perez and Galarza-Bermudez got into an argument on a second-story balcony. During the altercation, Feliciano-Perez pushed Galarza-Bermudez, causing the railing to break. Both men then fell to the concrete, prosecutors said.
Feliciano-Perez has been charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and related charges. He remains in custody on $750,000 bail, prosecutors said.
