A Texas man was extradited to Montgomery County to face several charges after communicating with a child online and exchanging sexually explicit images with her, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Officials explained that a teen victim went to the Whitpain Township Police Department on July 17, 2025, to report a suspected online predator after she got a package sent to her home that had a vibrator, lingerie and a necklace.

The victim told police that the package was sent to her by an older man who she had been communicating with for a couple of weeks, officials said.

At the time, the identity of the man was unknown but investigators reported figuring out that his name is Mitchell Van Dusen, 31, of Magnolia, Texas.

The victim met Van Dusen on July 4, 2025, in an online chat room and they would communicate over several social media apps including TikTok and SnapChat, officials said.

The two did have conversations about their ages where the victim told Van Dusen she was just 13 while he told her that he was 29, according to police.

Van Dusen would send the victim money through an online payment app in exchange for sexually explicit images, investigators said.

Investigators explained they found several photos and videos of the victim in sexually explicit poses as well as of a male’s genitalia on the victim’s phone.

The victim told officials that she believed Van Dusen lived in Houston, Texas, because he told her that he lived in the state and she explained that she would see his location on SnapChat.

After Van Dusen was identified as the suspect, detectives from Whitpain Township and Montgomery County went to Magnolia Texas to assist officials there with a search warrant of his home on April 8, 2026.

Van Dusen was arrested and then extradited to Montgomery County on April 22, 2026, where he was charged with human trafficking of a minor, unlawful contact with a minor and sexual abuse of children.

He was arraigned on April 24 and a cash bail was ultimately set to $500,000 for Van Dusen.

As part of Van Dusen’s bail agreement, he can not use a smart device nor have any contact with minors and he must surrender his passport, officials said.

A preliminary hearing for Van Dusen is scheduled for April 30.
