Caught on Camera: Suspects sought in 2025 murder of teen in Northeast Philly

After 16-year-old Xzavier Gregory was killed in a shooting in Philly’s Rhawnhurst section on Oct. 11, 2025, the police have released surveillance images in the hopes of identifying two suspects believed to be connected to the crime.

On Thursday, April 30, 2026, police shared video of the two sought in this incident on social media.

In a statement released with the footage, police said the two individuals were believed to have been with a group of juveniles attending Northeast High School on the day the shooting occurred.

Gregory was killed in a shooting that happened at about 3:54 p.m. along the 1700 block of Teesdale Street, on Oct. 11, 2025, officials have said.

One teen, 17-year-old Sahhir Mauzon, of South Philly, has been arrested and charged with murder, weapon violations and other offenses for his suspected involvement in the slaying.

Police described one of the suspects as wearing a beige jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and black and white sneakers at the time of the shooting and the as wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and light blue and gray sneakers along with a black backpack at the time.

As with every homicide, the City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
