BSO investigates at Deerfield Beach apartment complex; neighbor heard shot fired
An investigation was underway at an apartment complex in Deerfield Beach after at least one neighbor said they heard a shot fired.
Video shows several deputies with the Broward Sheriff’s Office responding to the scene in the Crystal Lake neighborhood at Northwest 9th Avenue and Northwest 45th Street. Investigators appeared to focus on the Crystal Hills II apartment building.
A neighbor who did not want to be identified said he heard people talking aggressively before he heard a single gunshot. Later, a man said his roommate had been shot and he was going to pick him up from the hospital.
Authorities have not confirmed that a shooting took place. It was also not clear if a suspect was in custody.
