South Jersey residents dig out as thousands remain without power after storm
Neighbors throughout the region were working to dig out from a major winter storm on Tuesday.
And, in South Jersey, many residents were working to clean up the snow as thousands dealt with power outages across the region.
According to officials with local power companies, here’s a look at how many residents throughout South Jersey were still without power as of about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
AC ELECTRIC – 20,586 outages
- Atlantic – 5,635
- Burlington – 3,612
- Camden – 2,590
- Cape May – 6,173
- Cumberland – 1,133
- Gloucester – 801
- Ocean – 368
- Salem – 274
Delmarva – 6, 988 outages
- Kent – 197
- New Castle – 72
- Sussex – 6,719
PSE&G – 22 outages
- Burlington – 8
- Camden – 7
- Middlesex – 7
Also, some remained without power in and around Philly, as well.
PECO – 122 outages
- Bucks – 5
- Chester – 6
- Delaware – 74
- Montgomery – 11
- Philadelphia – 21
- York – 5
