Pa. man accused of burglaries, sexual assaults of 2 women, including 90-year-old

A Pottstown, Pennsylvania, man was arrested last Friday in connection with two burglaries and sexual assaults of two women, including a 90-year-old woman, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

On April 24, 2026, Derelle Williams, 37, was charged with multiple counts of burglary, aggravated assault, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse forcible compulsion, criminal trespass, strangulation, and other charges, after Montgomery County prosecutors said he broke into two women’s homes and attacked them.

Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673.

Prosecutors said police responded to both incidents on April 23, 2026.

At approximately 6 a.m. on that day, Pottstown Police responded to a home on Walnut Street. Officials said Williams broke into the home while armed with a firearm and wearing black clothing, a face mask, one orange construction glove and one rubber medical glove.

The homeowner told police she found Williams standing over her bed and pointing the firearm at her. According to prosecutors, Williams then sexually assaulted her.

Then, at 7:45 a.m., Lower Pottsgrove Police responded to a 911 call at a home on Terraced Hill Court.

According to investigators, police found a blind, 90-year-old woman who said she had been sexually assaulted in her bedroom overnight when a man broke into her home. Officials said Williams also attempted to choke her.

The victim suffered multiple injuries, including bleeding in her brain, a broken nose and extensive bruising to the face. Officials said the 90-year-old is in intensive care.

Moreover, during that home invasion, prosecutors said Williams stole a Sony PlayStation 5 console and multiple PlayStation games and controllers.

During the joint investigation, law enforcement was able to find surveillance video that showed a white Chevrolet Malibu, which Williams was known to drive, near the locations of the burglaries and assaults.

Officials said while searching his car, they found black and orange medical gloves, a black fleece face mask, black hooded zip sweatshirt and other items used by the burglar.

In addition, after conducting a search of Williams’ home, investigators found the stolen Sony PlayStation and PlayStation games matching the titles stolen from the Lower Pottsgrove burglary, as well as a firearm.

Williams’ bail was set at $5 million. He remains at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 5, 2026, at 8:15 p.m.
