Musician Gregg Foreman found dead in his California home by firefighters at 53
A musician from Philadelphia was found dead in his California home this week, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Gregg Foreman, 53, was found in his Los Angeles home by first responders with the fire department on Tuesday, April 21 around Noon, officials explained.
Firefighters pronounced Foreman dead, officials said.
“He was the light and love and everything,” Foreman’s sister Abbe told NBC4 Los Angeles. “Everywhere he went, he brought love and light, and he was so talented.”
Foreman rose to fame as the founder and front man for the band The Delta 72.
He is also credited with working on Kat Von D’s debut LP in 2020, “Love Made Me Do It” as well as her 2024 album.
Foreman was also the musical director of the band Cat Power as well as a member of the bands Pink Mountaintops, the Meek, the Black Ryder and the Gossip.
In addition to being a musician, Foreman was also a freelance writer for the Philadelphia City Paper in the mid-90s and worked as a DJ in Philadelphia.
He was born in Philadelphia and raised in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Foreman went to Conestoga High School.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner is scheduled to do an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death for Foreman.
