Manager at Saladworks, Wendy's accused of groping, grooming teen boys

A man is accused of groping and grooming multiple teen boys while working as a manager at a Saladworks and Wendy’s in Bucks County.

Richard “Ricky” Brooks, 33, of Freehold, New Jersey, is charged with corruption of minors, indecent assault and manufacture, delivery, or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver.

The investigation began on April 1, 2025, when police received a ChildLine report of a manager at the Saladworks in the Crosskeys Shopping Center in Plumstead Township who was accused of grooming a boy who worked at the store. Investigators later identified Brooks as the former manager.

Police later interviewed 10 underage victims and learned that they also received alcohol, medical marijuana cartridges, nicotine cigarettes, and prescribed Adderall medication from Brooks between 2020 and 2024, investigators said.

All of the victims were between the ages of 15 and 17 at the time, according to Plumstead Township Police Detective Kevin Larkin.

“We found out that not only was he grooming the employee, but he was providing them with alcohol and drugs which led into finding out that he was providing other employees with alcohol and drugs not only when he was a manager at this establishment but when he was a manager at the Wendy’s,” Detective Larkin said.

The Saladworks employees also told investigators they had access to Brooks’ home, according to the criminal complaint.

“Then we found out that he also provided them with a key to his apartment and he was providing them access with his apartment and then providing them with alcohol and drugs at his apartment as well,” Detective Larkin said.

Detectives also said Brooks engaged in similar activity when he was the manager of a Wendy’s in Doylestown between 2020 and 2022 as well as when he lived at the Fonthill Apartments, also in Doylestown.

During one incident, Brooks – who was between the ages of 28 and 30 at the time—groped a teen boy without his consent, according to investigators.

A warrant was issued for Brooks’ arrest on Dec. 11, 2025, and he was taken into custody.

Brooks was arraigned on Dec. 24, 2025. He was unable to post 10% of $100,000 bail and he was remanded to the Bucks County Prison. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026.

Online court records don ‘t list an attorney who could speak on Brooks’ behalf.
