Driver fatally strikes man after argument in Gage Park
A man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle early Saturday in the Gage Park neighborhood.
The man, 65, was standing on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of South Western Avenue when the driver of a blue SUV pulled over and began arguing with him around 2:40 a.m., Chicago police said.
The driver then drove onto the curb and ran over the man before leaving the scene, police said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was pronounced dead, police said. His name hasn't been released.
No arrests were made.
