1 arrested in overnight armed robbery in Deerfield Beach, BSO says
One person involved in an armed robbery in Deerfield Beach was arrested on Friday, deputies said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at around 7:20 p.m. on Friday, deputies received reports of a shooting near the 1100 block of South Military Trail.
At the scene, deputies learned the victim and two suspects knew each other and tried to rob him at gunpoint.
During the robbery attempt, one of the suspects fired his gun at the victim, but the victim was able to leave the area and was not injured.
One of the suspects was then taken into custody, while the other one remains on the loose.
The suspect’s identity or the charges they are facing were not released.
